Mascherano completes Barca switch

08/30/2010 - Barcelona, Spain (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Barcelona announced on Monday that the club has completed the signing of Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano.

Mascherano, 26, signed a four-year deal with the Catalan side on Monday after completing a medical, and he moves to Barcelona for a fee reported to be in the region of $20 million.

The Argentina international has wanted to move from Anfield all summer, and he refused to play in Liverpool's 3-0 defeat to Manchester City last Monday.

During his three seasons at Liverpool, Mascherano scored two goals in 139 appearances.
